Apple held its latest hardware event today, unveiling the iPhone 17 lineup alongside new Apple Watch and AirPods updates. The iPhone 17 models now feature larger screens and improved cameras, while Apple also introduced the ultra-thin iPhone Air, which replaces the Plus model.
iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max
The iPhone 17 has been redesigned to resemble the Pro models more closely. It comes with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display, up from 6.1 inches on the iPhone 16, and now supports a 120 Hz refresh rate instead of 60 Hz. The phone also includes a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera.

Color options include lavender, mist blue, black, white, and sage.
The Pro models’ main changes are on the back: the triple cameras are housed in a horizontal rectangular bar stretching across the phone. The flash, sensor, and microphone sit on the right side, while the Apple logo remains centered where the MagSafe charger aligns.
Apple has also swapped the Pro’s titanium band for aluminum.
Pricing starts at $799 for the iPhone 17 with 256GB of storage, compared to the iPhone 16’s $699 base price for 128GB. The Pro starts at $1,099, and the Pro Max at $1,199.
Apple also introduced new “TechWoven” cases, which use higher-quality woven material, replacing the discontinued “FineWoven” line from 2023.
No mention was made of an AI-powered Siri, leaving Apple behind competitors like Google.
iPhone Air

The standout announcement was the iPhone Air, Apple’s thinnest phone yet, replacing the Plus model.
It measures just 5.6 mm thick — about 0.08 inches thinner than current iPhones — and features a 6.6-inch screen with a 120 Hz ProMotion display. The device is eSIM-only, helping achieve its slim profile.
This appears to be Apple’s answer to the growing demand for slimmer phones, competing with models like Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge (5.8 mm). Analysts also see it as a step toward Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, expected in 2026.
The iPhone Air is priced at $999 and will be offered in black, white, sky blue, and light gold.
Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3

Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 3, featuring faster charging, 5G, satellite connectivity, and a bigger screen.
Both the Ultra 3 and Series 11 now include blood pressure monitoring, alerting users when readings are too high or low.
The Apple Watch SE 3 gets a modest update with an always-on display, powered by the new S10 chip.
Prices are $249 for the SE 3, $399 for the Series 11, and $799 for the Ultra 3.
AirPods Pro 3

Apple also introduced the AirPods Pro 3, its first major update since 2022. The $249 earbuds now feature a smaller design, better sound quality, and a built-in heart-rate sensor. They also come with real-time language translation powered by Apple Intelligence.
