Wireless charging may sound impressive, but it’s not as seamless as it seems. There’s still a cord that connects the charging pad to an outlet, and it won’t charge your smartphone any faster than using a traditional cable. That said, I always find it disappointing when a smartphone I’m testing doesn’t support wireless charging. I’ve grown accustomed to simply placing my phone on a pad every night, and searching for a cable in the dark feels like a hassle. Ultimately, it’s all about convenience.
A Note on Charging Speed and Compatibility
Under each slide, you’ll find the phrase “Compatible with iPhones and Android phones,” indicating that the charger delivers a standard charging speed of 7.5 watts for iPhones and 10 watts for Android phones, including Samsung Galaxy models. If a charger offers a different speed, we’ll make a note of it. While we’ve tested these chargers with multiple devices, there’s always a possibility that your phone might charge slowly or not at all if the case is too thick or if the charging coil doesn’t align properly with the charger.
The Best Wireless Chargers (and Cheapest!)
Anker PowerWave Pad and Stand

Anker’s pad and stand show that you don’t need to spend a lot for effective wireless charging. Both are made of plastic with a rubberized bottom to prevent slipping, though it’s not overly grippy. A small LED glows blue when charging and blinks if there’s an issue. We generally prefer stands over pads because they make it easier to see your phone notifications, but Anker’s pad is so affordable that you could easily buy a few to place around your home. Both come with a 4-foot MicroUSB cable, but you’ll need to provide your own power adapter. That’s to be expected at this price point. Most importantly, they’ll charge your phone just as effectively as many other options in this guide.

Best Qi2 Charger
Anker MagGo Wireless Charger Pad (Qi2)

The Qi2 standard is still in its early stages, but it essentially introduces MagSafe-style magnetic charging and promises a 15-watt charging speed. Currently, only a few phones, mainly Apple’s MagSafe models (iPhone 12 and newer), are compatible with these magnets. However, Qi2 is backward compatible, so you can use any Qi-certified phone on a Qi2 charger, though it may not achieve the full 15-watt charging speed. The reverse isn’t always true, as we discovered with the first Qi2 Android phone, the HMD Skyline, which can’t charge with most older Qi chargers. Anker’s simple pad adheres well, features a durable aluminum casing that remains relatively cool, and comes with a permanently attached 5-foot USB-C cable.

Best Car Charger
iOttie Wireless Car Charger

Say goodbye to fumbling with cables, even in the car. This versatile car mount from iOttie offers two options: a suction cup for the dashboard or windshield, and a CD/vent mount that clips securely in place. You can adjust the foot height to ensure your phone is perfectly positioned for charging. The mount’s arms automatically close around your phone when it touches the trigger on the back, allowing for easy one-handed placement. (A release bar on either side lets you quickly remove your phone.) The mount features a MicroUSB port for connecting the included cable—just plug the other end into your car’s power socket. It also has a second USB-A port, allowing you to charge an additional device. For more options, check out our Best Car Phone Mounts and Chargers guide.
Best for the Nightstand (and Pixel Phones)
Google Pixel Stand (2nd Gen)

If you prefer to keep your room dark while sleeping, you’ll appreciate that the LED on the second-gen Pixel Stand lights up briefly when you place your phone on it and then quickly fades away. This charger is particularly well-suited for Google Pixel smartphones, offering extra features like a sunrise alarm clock that gradually brightens the screen in an orange hue before your alarm goes off, simulating the sunrise. It can also turn your phone into a digital photo frame, displaying Google Photos albums, and activate Bedtime Mode, which enables Do Not Disturb and turns your screen gray to encourage you to put your phone down. The charger includes a built-in fan to keep your device cool during fast charging; though the fan is audible in a quiet room, you can disable it in your Pixel’s settings for silence. The package includes a cable and adapter.
This charger is still compatible with other smartphones, but you won’t be able to access many of the exclusive Pixel features. The main drawbacks? It only charges in portrait orientation, and it’s a bit overpriced. The silver lining is that the first-gen Pixel Stand is still available at a lower price; it allows you to charge your phone in both landscape and portrait orientations, and I’d argue it has a more appealing design.
Compatible with iPhones, offering fast charging at 23 watts for Pixel 6 Pro, 7 Pro, and 8 Pro, 21 watts for Pixel 6, 7, and 8, and 15 watts for other Android phones.
Best Qi2 and MagSafe Charger for Travel
Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station (Qi2)

Many chargers claim to be perfect for travel, but Anker’s MagGo 3-in-1 is one of the most compact I’ve tested when folded flat. Despite its small size, this travel charger can power up your iPhone or Qi2-certified phone at up to 15 watts, includes a second pad for AirPods or other wireless earbuds, and features a fold-out Apple Watch charger. The package comes with a 5-foot USB-C cable and a wall adapter. While only MagSafe iPhones and Qi2-certified Android phones have the magnets needed to use this as a stand, I was able to charge an older Android phone without any issues by angling it back, thanks to Qi2’s backward compatibility.

A 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger
Belkin 3-in-1 Qi2 Charging Stand

Ah, the ultimate Apple trio. If you own an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods (or any earbuds with a wireless charging case), you’ll love this T-shaped Belkin stand. It’s a Qi2 and MagSafe charger, so it will hold your magnet-enabled iPhone 12, 13, 14, or 15 in midair while charging it at the fastest 15-watt speed. The Apple Watch attaches securely to its charging puck, which can fast-charge the Series 7 or newer (excluding the SE), and the base is perfect for recharging your earbuds. It’s a fantastic setup. Belkin also offers a pad version, but it takes up more space and isn’t as fun as what I like to call “the tree” (the stand). Check out our Best Apple 3-in-1 Wireless Chargers guide for more options.

A Stylish 2-in-1 Charger
Courant Mag:3 Classics

Courant creates some of the most stylish wireless chargers, and my new favorite is the Mag:3 Classics/Essentials. I tested the leather version, but you can save some money by opting for the linen version. This charger has two sections, but it’s designed for one smartphone and one wireless earbuds case rather than two phones side by side. I’ve used it with the iPhone 15 and AirPods Pro without any issues—the left side is MagSafe-compatible, while the right side is a Qi charger, both of which work with non-Apple products as well. I tested it with a Pixel phone using a MagSafe case and Google’s wireless earbuds, and it charged them perfectly. I also appreciate that there’s space for your small items; I’ve claimed it as my dedicated spot for sunglasses.
The charger comes with a cable and power adapter, and it also includes an additional 10-watt USB-C port for charging another low-power device nearby.

A Slim Folding Stand
Peak Design Mobile Wireless Charging Stand (Qi2)

The adoption of the Qi2 standard, which offers MagSafe-style magnetic alignment for wireless charging, has been slower than anticipated. However, Peak Design’s innovative folding charger might serve as an ideal interim solution. This slim, aluminum Qi2 wireless charging stand folds flat and is complemented by Peak Design’s magnetic cases for the latest Samsung, Google, and Apple phones. We tested it with the $50 Pixel 8 case, which allowed me to place my Pixel 8 on the stand in both portrait and landscape orientations. It supports charging at up to 15 watts and comes with a 6.6-foot USB-C cable and three adhesive clips for cable management.
You will need a 20-watt power adapter for optimal performance. Peak Design also offers a range of magnetic accessories, including a stand wallet, a tripod for mobile photography, and various mounts for wall, bike, and car use. While these products are on the pricier side, everything I’ve tried is of high quality and backed by a lifetime guarantee.

A Hybrid Charger
iOttie iON Wireless Duo

This dual-charging system is visually appealing, with its fabric-wrapped stand, and it features an additional rubberized charging pad for another device. The stand can be used in both portrait and landscape orientations, though using it in landscape mode will block access to the pad. I use the pad to charge my wireless earbuds, but I wouldn’t recommend this iOttie for a nightstand due to the potentially glaring LED on the front. It comes with a cable and adapter, making it a good value.

For Samsung Galaxy Farers
Samsung Wireless Charger Trio

If you have a recent Samsung Galaxy Watch, this triple wireless charger is a great addition to your home. You place the watch on the circular section; I used it near my front door for several months, and it charged the Watch4 (as well as the older Watch3) without any issues.
The Trio is visually appealing, with LEDs that light up promptly, and it comes with a 25-watt wall charger and USB cable. My partner and I typically place our wireless earbuds cases next to the watch. The six coils inside offer some flexibility in placement, so precise positioning isn’t necessary. If you only need a charger for the watch and space for one other device, there’s a Duo version available, or you can opt for the standard pad. Just keep in mind that it supports only the specified models, and several customer reviews mention it’s not compatible with older Galaxy watches.
Compatible with iPhones, slower 5-W charging for Android phones, fast 9-W charging for Samsung phones.
A Marble Charger
Einova Eggtronic Charging Stone

Einova’s Charging Stone is crafted from 100 percent solid marble or stone, with a variety of options to choose from. While all the chargers in this guide look like typical wireless chargers, friends have often mistaken this one for a drink coaster. It features no LEDs, making it ideal for bedrooms; just make sure to hide the cable to help it blend seamlessly into your space. For best results, we suggest using a case on your phone with this charger, as the harder surface can potentially scuff the back of your device.

A Wireless Battery
Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand

When you’re on the go, finding a wall outlet to charge your phone can be challenging. Instead, consider using a battery pack—ideally one that supports wireless charging. This 10,000-mAh model from Satechi has enough power to recharge your phone multiple times and offers a few additional features. You can flip up the wireless charger to use it as a stand while it charges your phone; I’ve tested it with a Pixel 7, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and iPhone 14 Pro, and all managed to charge, though not at high speeds. The stand also includes a slot for recharging your wireless earbuds case (if compatible), and there’s a USB-C port for charging a third device. LEDs on the back indicate the remaining battery level.

Best Docks for MagSafe iPhones
Anker MagGo Charging Accessories

Among my favorite iPhone wireless chargers right now are these Anker products. The orb-shaped MagGo has recently been updated with Qi2 support and features multiple USB-C and USB-A ports, along with AC outlets on its back, effectively serving as both a power strip and a MagSafe wireless charger for compatible iPhones. The MagGo 623 can magnetically hold your iPhone at an angle on your desk while charging it, and the circular base behind the angled top can also simultaneously charge wireless earbuds.
My top pick, however, is the MagGo 633. This charging stand also functions as a portable battery. You can slide out the battery to use it on the go (it magnetically attaches to your MagSafe iPhone), and then slide it back in when you’re home to charge your iPhone while the power bank itself recharges. It’s a clever design. The base also recharges wireless earbuds. Unfortunately, the MagGo 633 tends to be out of stock quite frequently.

Best for Travel
RapidX Modula 5 Modular Wireless Charging System

This modular system from RapidX is ideal for couples or families due to its compact design and ability to wirelessly charge two phones at up to 10 watts each. Its versatility lies in its modularity—you can add or remove pods as needed, with a single charging cable capable of powering up to five pods. The pods connect magnetically and easily detach for convenient packing. Additional phone pods and an Apple Watch pod are available for purchase. The package includes a 30-watt US power adapter and a 5-foot USB-C cable, but you’ll need a more powerful adapter (RapidX recommends 65 watts or higher) if you plan to use three or more pods.

Best for Apple Watch
Belkin Boost Charge Pro Portable Fast Charger for Apple Watch

While the Apple Watch may be at the top of our Best Smartwatches guide, its battery life is a notable downside. This sleek charging pad, available in black or white, is designed to charge any Apple Watch and folds flat for easy portability. Although it’s not as compact as I’d prefer, you can adjust it to fit your Apple Watch size using the dial on the underside, and it includes cable management for the 4-foot USB-C cable. It supports Nightstand mode and fast charging for the latest Apple Watches. Just pair it with a 20-watt wall charger.

A Face-Tracking Stand
Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro with DockKit

At first glance, a face-tracking stand for your iPhone might seem unnecessary, and the price could be a deterrent for some, but Belkin’s Auto-Tracking Stand Pro quickly won me over. Designed exclusively for iPhones using Apple’s DockKit technology, you simply pair your device, place it on the MagSafe pad, and activate the camera app to have the stand track your face as you move, keeping you in the frame. It does a solid job of tracking, smoothly rotating 360 degrees and tilting 90 degrees up or down. While you can outrun it if you try, it easily keeps pace with normal movement. This dock is perfect for content creators or for making FaceTime calls while multitasking, such as cooking. It also supports a variety of third-party apps, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp. Even better, it has a built-in battery that lasts up to five hours and a standard 1/4-inch thread for attaching a tripod. Additionally, it doubles as a MagSafe wireless charger, providing up to 15 watts of power. The package includes a 5-foot USB-C cable and a 30-watt power supply.
