Metalink has launched its mobile application, which serves as a social platform and NFT portfolio management.
NFT collectors can interact with one another, track their portfolio performance and aggregate announcements on the token-gated space. The app also plans to launch a transaction functionality later this year so users can buy, sell and swap digital assets.
Metalink’s platform was launched in August 2021 as a private chat app for CryptoPunks collectors and expanded to include official chatrooms for other blue-chip NFT projects such as Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Metalink, the non-fungible token (NFT) portfolio management and social platform, has launched its mobile application and secured $6m in seed funding.
The platform creates a token-gated chatroom for each NFT collection on the Ethereum network, enabling holders to communicate with other collectors, verify their assets, and track price movements in real-time.
The app will also enable users to buy, sell, and swap digital assets later this year. Investors in the seed round included Guy Oseary, Gary Vaynerchuk, MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright, and former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan, among others.
Numerous startups are developing ways to streamline the process for NFT collectors by adopting successful concepts from Web2 and integrating them into Web3.
MultiversX, a blockchain platform focused on the Metaverse, recently introduced its xPortal “super app,” which combines elements of finance, chat, and artificial intelligence.
Meanwhile, Floor, an NFT management app, recently acquired NFT data platform WGMI.io to enhance its portfolio management capabilities.
