Trump Mobile, the cellphone service and smartphone brand linked to President Donald Trump, is reportedly exposing customer information online, including email addresses and mailing details, according to multiple reports.
On Tuesday, popular YouTubers Coffeezilla and penguinz0 claimed they discovered the leak after ordering Trump Mobile’s gold-colored T1 smartphone. Both creators said a security researcher contacted them after finding exposed customer data publicly accessible online.
Coffeezilla said he personally confirmed the breach after seeing his own information exposed. According to him, customer details such as mailing addresses and email accounts were visible online, though payment information reportedly was not included.
The YouTubers explained that they purchased the T1 device out of curiosity rather than political support. However, they now say their private information has been compromised alongside that of other Trump Mobile customers.
Both creators stated that the researcher shared their personal details to prove access to the database. They also claimed repeated attempts to notify Trump Mobile about the issue were unsuccessful. According to penguinz0, those trying to report the vulnerability were met with “radio silence,” and the exposed data allegedly remains accessible online.
Neither YouTuber revealed exactly how the information was exposed, saying the flaw was too easy to exploit and could encourage further abuse while the issue remains unresolved.
Coffeezilla also suggested that order records connected to the leak indicate that roughly 30,000 customers may have purchased the T1 smartphone so far — significantly lower than earlier projections. Previous estimates had suggested around 590,000 pre-orders, each reportedly requiring a $100 payment.
Trump Mobile launched last year with promises of delivering a fully “Made in USA” smartphone. However, later reports from NBC News claimed the company quietly adjusted its marketing language, now describing the device as “designed with American values in mind” rather than fully manufactured in the United States.
Meanwhile, The Verge and other outlets pointed out unusual design choices on the device, including an American flag graphic containing only 11 stripes instead of 13. Some observers suggested the “TRUMP MOBILE” logo may have been intended to represent the missing stripe.
Critics have also noted that the T1 phone closely resembles an older HTC smartphone, fueling speculation that the product could simply be a rebranded device rather than an original design.
The launch of Trump Mobile has faced multiple issues since its announcement. Independent outlet 404 Media previously reported problems with the ordering system, including failed purchases and incorrect charges during the initial rollout.
